The mattress springs were all shot and twisted, and the slats were either broken or fallen through. Point is, we've needed a new bed for a while, and I finally ponied up and bought one. We got a Crate and Barrel BENTO bed, which is a slat bed built eintirely of pressed cured bamboo--which will not break or splinter under us. And a nice Seaman's BeautyRest on top of it--so now Humfrey-Bear, the Ugly Dolls, and Paul and Emily have a nice new place to cuddle in.
